Navigating Venture is a blog devoted to discussing issues of importance to the entrepreneurial and venture capital communities, with a particular focus on the Southeast. Contributors include individual principals from Ballast Point Ventures:

Drew Graham has been a venture capitalist for fifteen years, and seasons his writing on the subject with additional experience in private equity and management consulting. He has a bachelors degree from Princeton and an MBA from Harvard. Drew grew up in Vero Beach, FL and is married with three children.

Dick Brandewie has been a venture capitalist for twenty-five years and brings additional insights from eight years as EVP and CFO of a rapidly growing logistics business. He has a bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University and and MBA from Michigan. Dick grew up in Central Ohio and is married with two children.

Paul Johan brings nine years in venture capital and seven years in investment banking to the discussion. He has a bachelors degree from Emory and an MBA from the University of Virginia. Paul grew up outside Boston and is married with two children.

Matt Rice combines three years of venture capital experience with several years of investment banking and strategic planning experience. Matt has a bachelors degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Harvard.

Robert Faber has worked for five years in private equity and investment banking. Robert has a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Dartmouth.
